What Should I Do First? Secure Your Account
When you first create your SuperDapp account, securing it should be your top priority. Here are the essential steps to protect your account and assets:
Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account. Even if someone obtains your password, they won't be able to access your account without the second verification factor.
To enable 2FA:
- Go to Settings > Security
- Select "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
- Choose your preferred method (Authenticator App recommended)
- Follow the setup instructions
- Save your backup codes in a secure location
Create a Strong Password
Your password should be:
- At least 12 characters long
- A combination of uppercase and lowercase letters
- Include numbers and special characters
- Unique (not used on other platforms)
Save Your Recovery Key
SuperDapp provides you with a recovery key during setup. This key is essential for account recovery:
- Write it down on paper and store it securely
- Never share it with anyone
- Never store it digitally in an unsecured location
Set Up Recovery Email
Add a recovery email to your account for additional security:
- Go to Settings > Account
- Add your recovery email address
- Verify your email
